The sensational Stellar Blade from Shift Up has attracted a lot of attention, first on PlayStation and then on PC.

The former president of SIE Worldwide Studios, in a conversation with Minimap, talked about how Stellar Blade was noticed on PlayStation and how Sony became the publisher of the project.

Shuhei Yoshida became a guest of Shift Up several years ago.

I visited Shift Up between 2019-2020, hearing that an amazing console game was being developed in Korea. To my surprise, the new project was of exceptional quality in every way — 3D modeling, realism, graphics, and action. When I played it myself, it seemed stylish, thoughtful, and truly engaging.

The ex-manager shared that he was impressed by how the developers created the characters (the process of turning physical models into digital ones). One of his colleagues immediately said: "We definitely want this game to be released on PlayStation."

According to Yoshida, "Stellar Blade is more than just a 'successful game'. If it is successful, it can inspire many other Korean developers to realize their ambitions."

He noted that the G-Star exhibition and the "growing confidence of Korean developers" are "partly due to the influence of Stellar Blade."
