Not everyone wants to see a FNV remaster.
The anniversary edition of Fallout 4 was recently released. This has once again sparked talk of a remaster of another installment in the franchise.
Fans of Fallout New Vegas have once again begun calling on Obsidian Entertainment to make an updated version of the game, but the remaster also has opponents. Among them was the writer of FNV.
Chris Avellone shared his opinion on social media: "[...] perhaps a Fallout New Vegas remaster might not be such a good idea after all." He cited "recent events" as the reason for his doubts.
The creator did not explain what he meant. This could be either the problematic release of Fallout 4 Anniversary Edition (technical problems and gamers are unhappy with the premium Creation Club mods), or the latest projects of Obsidian studio — the community also has complaints about the quality of Avowed and The Outer Worlds 2.
It is assumed that Avellone is afraid of potential problems with the Fallout New Vegas remaster that may arise if modern Obsidian undertakes it.
