The State of Play presentation featured two horror games from BrokenLore studio that immediately caught the audience's attention.
The first project is BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW. This is a first-person psychological horror game exploring the dark side of social media and its impact on the psyche. The main character, Anne, is a young woman who has endured years of emotional abuse and bullying. She finds herself in a nightmare where the lines between dream and reality blur. To escape, she must confront her own past and accept the truth she has tried to forget.
The game touches on current issues — the pressure of online life, addiction to approval, distorted self-perception, and the consequences of psychological abuse. BrokenLore: UNFOLLOW is scheduled for release on January 16, 2026.
The second project is BrokenLore: ASCEND. This is also a first-person psychological horror game dedicated to the story of two Japanese roofers, Ren and Yui. Their SKYLIMIT channel became famous for dangerous climbs on high-rise buildings, but the desire for fame leads the couple to a risky decision — to conquer the tallest building in Japan, Elysium Tower, at night. The release is scheduled for the summer of 2026.
