Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced a 27-inch gaming monitor with a hook for charging the DualSense controller. The release is scheduled for the US and Japan in 2026, with the price yet to be announced.
According to Sony's VP of Product, Shuzo Kikuchi, after the launch of PlayStation 5, players appreciated the ability to choose where to play - whether it's the living room with a large TV, other rooms in the house, or remotely via PlayStation Portal. In this regard, Sony is introducing a new option for desktop gaming with a monitor and DualSense charging.
The monitor is combined with the recently announced Pulse Elevate wireless speakers, providing realistic sound and voice chat. The products are designed for a complete desktop gaming experience on PS5.
The new 27-inch monitor provides: Quad HD (2560×1440) on an IPS matrix, HDR with automatic tone mapping, VRR and refresh rate up to 120 Hz on PS5 and PS5 Pro, and up to 240 Hz on compatible PCs and Macs. The built-in hook allows you to conveniently charge DualSense or DualSense Edge (sold separately).
The monitor supports VESA mounting and has extensive connectivity: two HDMI 2.1 and one DisplayPort 1.4, two USB-A and one USB-C for PlayStation Link and other devices, built-in stereo speakers and a 3.5 mm audio output.
