Hobby World Publishing has announced the opening of pre-orders for the board game "Star Realms: Rise of Empire" on the CrowdRepublic crowdfunding platform. Currently, it can be purchased for 3190 rubles, the "Reboot Pack" expansion for 1190 rubles, and the first promo set for 630 rubles.
This project is a self-contained prequel to "Star Realms" with a "legacy", a story campaign for two players, as well as competitive and cooperative modes.
The campaign consists of twelve chapters (each with new rules, stickers, and surprises). After completing it, the result is a deck that can be played with up to six users.
The prequel is dedicated to the split of the galaxy and the rebellion of the Star Empire. Gamers, choosing a side—the Trade Federation or the Star Empire—will fight for the loyalty of three factions: the Consortium, the Kingdom, and the Scavengers. They will engage in space battles and complete various tasks, while changing the cards in the trade row using stickers.
And the "Reboot Pack" is an expansion of 190 cards containing everything needed to reset progress and replay the campaign endlessly.
If the team raises 850 thousand rubles (and the piggy bank already has more than 600 thousand rubles), then all pre-orderers will receive a special addition for free – a second promo set with cards that were not revealed during the original crowdfunding campaign for Star Realms: Rise of Empire on Kickstarter.
The promo set contains one rule card and 20 game cards, including new ships, bases, heroes, and events for the Trade deck. The board game should reach buyers in December 2025.
