The discussion about the permissible limits of AI use in the gaming industry continues.
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 was recently released, and players have begun sharing their impressions of the AAA project. Not everyone was pleased that AI tools were used in the work — those dissatisfied noted that the game contains images that strongly resemble AI-generated art.
This has once again sparked a discussion about the permissibility of replacing human artists with AI tools. US Congressman Ro Khanna also shared his opinion — he is a supporter of regulating the use of AI:
We need rules preventing companies from using AI to cut jobs for greater profits. Artists in these companies should have a voice in the use of AI. They should receive their share of the profits, and a tax on mass layoffs should also be introduced
