The wait for a new installment in the franchise continues.
While the anticipation for a "November announcement of Half-Life 3" has not been justified, fans of the franchise are not discouraged, as three insiders have given them hope.
Gabe Follower reported that Valve is allegedly planning to show Half-Life 3 for the first time before the end of 2025.
Another well-known blogger-insider in the community, Tyler McVicker, claims that the development of HL3 is in the final stages and an announcement may be made soon.
Tom Henderson also noted that during a podcast he stated that a "big game" may be released in March along with the Steam Machine:
Yes, the common theory is that [the next major announcement from Valve will not be at The Game Awards], but it will be a game released simultaneously with the Steam Machine, right? Like, an exclusive? Which makes sense. And if we get a Steam Machine, did you say early 2026? Or just in '26? [...] most likely in March, because I've heard that some big game is coming out in March, which I can't name yet. But many are looking forward to it... Let's see if we talk about it in the next couple of weeks.
