Activision continues to ignore what is happening. The company publishes thanks for the "wonderful reception" of Black Ops 7, although the game faces harsh criticism.
A post has appeared on the official Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 page that does not match the current ratings. Players are actively scolding the shooter: on Steam, it started with an average of 42% positive reviews. The main complaints are directed at the cooperative campaign. On Metacritic, the situation is similar: over the weekend, users gave the game an average score of 1.7/10. Activision pretends there are no problems.
In the message, the company congratulates Treyarch on the "incredible Black Ops 7" and claims that over the weekend it allegedly saw "remarkable approval of the quality and depth of Black Ops 7 gameplay."
There is a detail showing that everything is developing worse than in previous releases of the series. Activision usually quickly published the results of the launch of new parts of Call of Duty. Now the publisher has not even named the number of players who tried Black Ops 7, which hints at weak performance. For comparison: a year ago, after the premiere of Black Ops 6, the company promptly reported on the "largest opening weekend in the history of the series." Now Activision prefers not to discuss the audience.
