Ayaneo CEO Arthur Zhang hosted a live stream dedicated to the Pocket Vert portable vertical console.
This is a device with three color options and a 3.5-inch LCD screen with a display resolution of 1600x1400 and a pixel density of 615 PPI (that's ten times the resolution of the Nintendo Game Boy "pixel-for-pixel").
It turns out that in addition to unmarked buttons and a minimalist D-pad, the Pocket Vert is equipped with a touchpad under the glass front panel. The touchpad spans the entire width of the device and is located under the D-pad and buttons. It can be configured to work as a left joystick, a right joystick, or both at once.
Previously, Ayaneo used a trackpad on the Pocket DMG, but this one is different in that it is completely invisible and doesn't get in the way when not needed. The Pocket Vert also inherits another feature from the DMG: the MagicSwitch side wheel. Like the original Game Boy, it adjusts the volume, and when pressed, it mutes the sound or, when held, opens the function menu.
The console's screen is surrounded by a solid glass panel and a high-quality metal case. In addition, the Pocket Vert received a 6000 mAh battery.
