Some players' problems with EFT start long before the game even launches.
The creators of Escape from Tarkov have announced various fixes, including the infamous "Error 228." In addition, they promise to fix the issues players have been encountering when trying to download the main EFT and Arena through the Battlestate Games launcher and Steam.
Error "228" occurs when interacting with traders and has been encountered by players even before the release of EFT 1.0. It prevents the completion of story missions.
The developers also plan to address the following issues:
- Some players are not saving raid progress when playing in PvE Zone;
- Various issues with game sounds disappearing during raids;
- Overlapping character screens when quickly switching between them;
- Various issues with the appearance of broken textures, resulting in some bullets and grenade fragments being displayed in purple.
