The developers have also provided for more budget-friendly editions.
Recently, the developers of Hytale were able to acquire the rights to the game and intend to continue working on the project.
Now Hypixel Studios has introduced several editions: the basic version costs $20 (~1.6 thousand rubles), but there are also extended editions for Supporter Edition at $35 (2.7 thousand rubles) and Cursebreaker Founders Pack at $70 (5.5 thousand rubles).
The game's authors clarified that this is a way to further support their work, and the editions will include cosmetic items, such as hats and cloaks.
Hypixel Studios founder Simon Collins-Laflamme said that he insisted on the lowest possible price:
I am pricing Hytale as low as I possibly can. I am taking on significant personal risk after buying the game back and gearing up for early access with a growing team of 50 talented specialists. I said I was all in and I am delivering on that promise.
He warned that there may be problems in the current version:
The game is not finished and is running on a build that is more than four years old. Charging a higher price felt wrong. I don't think the game is up to "good" yet. My team and I will work hard to make it really good and then great. The vision is clear and progress is rapid. I want as many players as possible to join the project. It's a tough time for many of you due to the economic situation and I want everyone to have a fair chance to be part of what's next.
