The developers have improved the classic games.
Recently, old Ubisoft games — I Am Alive and Cold Fear — were removed from Steam. Previously, the company sold the rights to Atari, so it is assumed that the withdrawal from sale is temporary and related to legal issues.
Meanwhile, the GOG store became active and included both games in the "GOG Preservation" program — they were re-released and various improvements were made.
Cold Fear now works on modern Windows 10 and 11 OS and includes 7 localizations, including Russian. Support for modern gamepads, widescreen monitors, and high FPS has been implemented (previously, the game started to glitch at high frame rates).
I Am Alive received similar technical improvements.
