EA has announced that it will shut down Grid (2019) servers on December 19, 2025. After that, all network modes and online functions will stop working.
The company has added Grid to the list of unsupported games, although the main wave of Codemasters projects shutdowns took place back in November. Then four old games were closed: GRID 2, GRID Autosport, DiRT 3 and DiRT Showdown.
There are no changes for achievement hunters, as none of the 38 achievements are related to online. And this is important: the game has one of the most difficult achievements — Around the Globe. It requires "to travel a distance equal to the circumference of the Earth", which adds hundreds of hours of pointless grinding to the overall playthrough.
Although EA denies rumors of a complete shutdown, the future of Codemasters remains uncertain.
