Lawyers' Threats Didn't Stop Him: Modder Adds Thomas the Tank Engine to TES III: Morrowind
Translated with AI from the Russian original.
The famous character has visited another game.
Recently, The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind received a meme modification. Now the game features Thomas the Tank Engine.
The developer is Trainwiz (Kevin Brock), a creator well-known in the modding community. He has already made similar mods for other projects, which led to problems - lawyers had complaints.
According to Brock, lawyers stated that he was allegedly spoiling the character's image:
It was some kind of intermediary law firm from Macedonia. They claimed that I distorted Thomas's image by showing him exploding (while saying nothing about him brutally killing people). They filed a complaint, and the first time the video was indeed removed. The second time, however, YouTube, without my participation, recognized that [the video about Thomas is legal -] falls under the law on parodies. That was nice.
In 2025, the creator worked with the Thomas & Friends franchise again. The Thomas the Tank Engine modification for TES III: Morrowind, "Really Useful Cliffracers," has already been published on Nexus Mods.
