Sega and Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio have announced that updated versions of Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut, Yakuza Kiwami, and Yakuza Kiwami 2 will be released on December 8, 2025, for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Steam in celebration of the series' 20th anniversary. Owners of digital versions of previous games will be able to receive significant discounts.
Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut adds new staged scenes, a Red Light Raid cooperative mode, English dubbing, and support for multiple languages, including Russian. Owners of the PS4, Xbox One, or Steam versions will be able to upgrade to the new version for $14.99 instead of $49.99.
Yakuza Kiwami gets support for additional languages, including Russian, and new songs. Upgrading from PS4 and Xbox One to PS5 and Xbox Series X|S will cost $1.99.
Yakuza Kiwami 2 is updated with support for new languages, including Russian, and the upgrade will be free for owners of previous versions.
Discounts do not apply to subscriptions (PS Plus, Xbox Game Pass) and physical versions. Save data cannot be transferred.
