The creator of the cult Counter-Strike, Minh "Gooseman" Le, took part in the Moscow International Video Game Week and shared his opinion on some projects by Russian developers.
His words are quoted by "lenta.ru": Gooseman believes that Russian developers are creating some of the best game simulators in the world, and he also praised games about alternative reality.
Russian game simulators are among the best in the world. I am glad that Russian companies continue to develop this direction. They have an excellent understanding of how to work in this genre. In the West, we believe that Russians are excellent developers. I am also impressed by Russian games about alternative realities, such as Atomic Heart and Escape from Tarkov, they attract the attention of the whole world.
In addition, during his speech, Minh Le noted the importance of Russian developers for the global industry:
Russian teams are creating projects that can compete internationally. Such games are a prime example of how talent and perseverance can achieve global recognition. I am especially pleased that places like the Video Game and Animation Cluster, which I was told about, are being created in Moscow. With such support, Russia has the potential to create a global hit.
