Rockstar has released an improved version of Red Dead Redemption — previous version owners get the update for free.
Fresh comparisons show that on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch 2, the image quality has been improved. On PS5, the detail, shadow quality and draw distance have been improved. The image has become cleaner and more stable. Switch 2 shows an surprisingly close level of image quality.
The main improvement is stable 60 FPS on PS5 and Switch 2. The PS4 lacked this smoothness. Portable mode works stably: in the version for Switch 2, the differences with PS5 are minimal.
This is not a "new quality" in the full sense. Rather, a careful update: it looks better, works smoother and is free for owners of the previous version.
