The editor deliberately tried to achieve burn-in on the MSI MPG 321URX panel with QD OLED, using it only with static windows and applications. Over this time, it has accumulated more than 5000 hours.

Panel degradation is visible only on gray and dark fills in the second minute of recording. The split screen effect is due to the window splitting feature in Windows 10.

The changes are minimal: after 21 months, the screen lost 2% of its maximum brightness in SDR — from 243 to 238 nits.

These changes are unnoticeable during normal operation. The team notes that OLED is becoming even more resistant in difficult conditions of static work. According to Monitors Unboxed, those who play on OLED displays will need years to notice a deterioration in panel quality.
