Both versions lack detailed hair rendering and ray-traced global illumination, but the Switch 2 lags behind in shadow and lighting quality. The Nintendo console shows less foliage density, fewer environmental animations, and less detailed trees in the distance. Textures and shadows have a lower resolution, and additional simplifications are used in staged scenes, such as weaker facial shading.

Digital Foundry also notes a reduction in effects: "fewer advanced reflections, simplified water, and limited fabric behavior. On Switch 2, waves do not react to the hero's steps, and clothing moves more rigidly." Experts emphasize that Ubisoft has effectively chosen compromises, and the final result on the portable console is impressive.
