Battlefield 6 Developers Reveal Details of Winter Offensive Update - Improved Hit Registration, Sound, Mode, and Winter Map

New content is coming to the game soon.

The creators of Battlefield 6 have announced the 1.1.3.0 Winter Offensive update. They have prepared new content, as well as technical improvements:

• A temporary map, Ice Lock Empire State, will appear - a winter version of the Empire State already featured in the game.
• A themed game mode will be temporarily available in Domination, Conquest, and Gauntlet variants with "freezing" mechanics.
• The "ice axe" weapon can be unlocked in the bonus path of the battle pass.
• Improved sound: "important sounds of combat and transport should now be played more consistently even under high load." Previously, players complained that some sounds could disappear.
• Fixes for hit registration issues, such as when quickly transitioning to zoom (aiming).
• Various improvements to the visibility of fighters: "we have improved the activation of visibility effects in the near radius so that soldiers stand out better in dark or low-contrast areas."

The Winter Offensive update for Battlefield 6 is expected to be released on December 9.
