The Roblox ban did not particularly hinder scammers, who quickly found new ways to deceive players from Russia.
Roblox was blocked in Russia at the beginning of December. Scammers who made money by deceiving players quickly adapted and started working according to a new scheme.
Previously, in order to obtain the data necessary for stealing money, children were promised virtual currency in Roblox, and now they are "selling" access to the blocked game.
The mother of the affected girl from Moscow told Postnews that the scammer stole 82 thousand rubles from her.
In an attempt to bypass the blocking, the schoolgirl came across an account of a person who offered to sell lifetime access to the game for a small fee of 500 rubles. After the girl clicked on the link and entered the card details, money began to be debited from the account.
