Various insiders have previously reported that Ubisoft is preparing a remake of Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag.
Recently, a characteristic name, "Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced," was found in the files of AC Shadows, which fueled rumors about the release of an updated version of the game.
There is a belief that the game may be announced during The Game Awards 2025. Players are analyzing the accumulated information, and some have been drawn to entries in the SteamDB database — several "behind-the-scenes" updates have been registered in recent months.
The developers have "uploaded about 246 MB of new data to the public Steam branch," and it is assumed that this is related to preparations for the announcement (they could have added new promotional images in advance, which are currently hidden).
The Game Awards 2025 is scheduled to begin on December 12 at 3:30 AM Moscow time.
