Path of Exile 2 Game Director Doubts Full Game Will Release With All Planned Classes
Developers' desires do not always align with possibilities.
Currently, 12 classes are planned for Path of Exile 2. The eighth — Druid — is scheduled to appear in the game on December 12.
Initially, Grinding Gear Games wanted all these classes to be present in PoE 2 with the release of the full version 1.0, but now the game director doubts that this will be possible.
Jonathan Rogers said:
Ideally, I would like to release all classes [by the time of release 1.0], but now I'm starting to suspect that, most likely, we won't be able to cope.
Rogers explained that the PoE 2 team has more priority tasks than releasing classes — refining gameplay and introducing new types of weapons and mechanics.
The developers of Path of Exile 2 hope to be able to release the full version of the game in 2026.
