Creative Assembly has announced that the Total War series, known for its large-scale real-time battles and deep strategy, is coming to consoles with the new Warcore engine.
Warcore paves the way for future Total War games on PlayStation and Xbox, delivering the scale, depth, and tactical mastery to a new generation of commanders.
The Total War series has been around for 25 years, from Medieval: Total War to the Total War: Warhammer trilogy. Previously, only the spin-off Spartan: Total Warrior for PS2, Xbox, and GameCube was released on consoles.
PC remains at the heart of our design philosophy. We are working with experienced Total War players to ensure that new versions remain immersive, authentic, and tactically rich.
Total War: Medieval III is currently in development, and at The Game Awards, the studio promises to show "something truly special, a project that will open a revolutionary chapter for the franchise."
