Some players will experience a greater FPS increase than previously thought.
Recently, the game director of Path of Exile 2 spoke with FRVR and talked about the technical improvements of version 0.4.0 Last of the Druids.
With this update, the game may perform even better than previously stated (promotional material mentioned a 25% increase):
We've made massive technical improvements, and I really hope players notice it. We've done a lot of work, including myself personally, to make performance significantly better in version 0.4.0.
The PoE 2 developer shared that the game runs significantly better on his PC. He explained that the previously announced figure was a hedge, as players have different PC configurations:
In my case, performance has increased by at least 50%. In the video, I talked about "25 percent" to hedge. But in my opinion, the increase is 50% or even more.
The authors of Path of Exile 2 are eliminating the sharp performance drops that occurred in the later stages of the game in this update.
