Some PC users continue to use the outdated Windows 7 operating system. Many have already abandoned its support, including Valve.
Nevertheless, gamers still have the opportunity to use Steam on older versions of the OS thanks to tech enthusiast Eazy Black. The developer has backported a beta version of the client that will work on Windows 7 and Windows 8.
However, there is a nuance: you need to install Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (KB976932), KB3080149 or KB4474419, since Steam will require SHA-2 digital signature support to work.
