The New Year is just around the corner, and Ayaneo, known for its portable consoles, has decided to delight fans with an unusual novelty. Today, it presented the first trailer of the Pocket PLAY slider gaming smartphone.
The controls are hidden until the user slides the top of the case with the screen upwards. After that, the familiar buttons become available — ABXY, D-pad, Start, and Select.
The Ayaneo Pocket PLAY also has two built-in Smart Dual-Mode Touchpads that can function as a virtual joystick or as a touchpad.
In addition, the device is equipped with several additional buttons, including the signature Ayaneo key on the right side. The red button between the D-pad and the touchpad on the left attracts special attention — its purpose remains a mystery for now.
Judging by the video, the Pocket PLAY's case is made of aluminum and glass. Cameras are unlikely to be the main advantage of the device and are unlikely to compete with the latest Samsung Galaxy or iPhone models.
It is not yet known when the Ayaneo Pocket PLAY will go on sale, what its specifications will be, and what its price will be.
