The developers have prepared a surprise for attentive players.
CD Projekt RED recently released a trailer in honor of the fifth anniversary of Cyberpunk 2077. As it turned out, they decided to add an Easter egg-appeal to the community to it.
At a certain point, a secret message flashes in the frame, which fans were able to catch:
Five years. It feels like only a moment has passed! But during this time, Night City has grown much more than we could have imagined. More than 30 million of you have visited Night City, and 10 million have tried the Phantom Liberty DLC. This means an incredible amount to us. You, the members of the community, are truly amazing. Over the past five years, you have given us so many memories. You have organized full-fledged Samurai concerts, created groups that meet to celebrate and discuss everything related to Cyberpunk 2077... There were even tattoos and... a marriage proposal at one of our stands (congratulations again!). All this is a huge compliment to us and is truly touching.
One of the main principles of CD PROJEKT RED has always been to think about gamers. With your dedication and passion, it's very easy to do. You have given us the strength not to give up, and this, in turn, gives us the energy to move forward. The release of the game, the Edgerunners update, Phantom Liberty, version 2.0, successful launches on Nintendo Switch 2 and Apple Mac - you have helped us gain momentum over these five years. And we will use it while working on Cyberpunk 2 and everything we are planning for the Cyberpunk universe.
For now, we want to say thank you again. To everyone who played Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty, to everyone who downloaded our updates. To everyone who shared fan art, memories and photos.
