Players take on the role of the warlock Kaatri, who has made a dangerous pact to wield otherworldly magic against the encroaching dark forces. The character will be brought to life by actress Tricia Helfer, known for her role in "Battlestar Galactica."
Magic is at the heart of the gameplay. Each spell serves both for exploring the world and for combat, opening up new paths and combining with melee combat for tactical and spectacular encounters.
Wizards of the Coast President John Height emphasized the dual nature of warlock magic, describing the game as a world of "dangerous wonders" where Kaatri's growing power always comes at a price.
The first full gameplay reveal will take place in the summer of 2026, with a release planned for 2027.
