The Phoenix Project Software SVG team has presented the Half-Life Legacy project on Steam. This is a large-scale fan update that is distributed as a separate modification for the original shooter.
Modders have eliminated various errors, and also removed the speed limit associated with Bunnyhop - speedrunners can now move as fast as they want (and can).
The developers have also restored and added various features, such as:
- Viewmodel bob tilt (creates a swaying effect)
- OpenGL texture filtering option
- HUD (interface) scaling compatible with HD
- Censorship filter option, imitating the German release of 1998.
- Steam Workshop support
- Extended gamepad support (vibration, etc.)
