Recently, Valve introduced updated terms for cosmetic content creators. "Optional additional terms" were introduced regarding the release of in-game items for Counter-Strike 2.
These changes will allow the CS2 team to license items for a fixed amount:
If a Steam user accepts the new additional terms, their workshop items will be able to get into places where community items were not previously accepted, such as the armory.
If the skin creator agrees to the terms, the developers will pay $35,000 for one Counter-Strike 2 weapon skin, and $6,000 for a paint job or charm.
For a future update, Valve is looking for skins inspired by the following themes:
- Arabesque style and Arabian mythology.
- Spy technologies.
In addition, the CS2 developers are looking for stickers that match the following themes:
- Car racing.
- Fruits and vegetables.
