Tech enthusiast showed what a remaster of TES V: Skyrim could have been.
YouTube channel author John Papadopoulos continues to follow updates to Greg Coulthard's projects. He recently presented a new version of the remaster of another Bethesda game.
This time, the tech enthusiast updated The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. This is not a full content transfer — Greg suggests exploring the updated map on the modern Unreal Engine 5.6.
John Papadopoulos tested this version of TES V: Skyrim on a PC with an AMD Ryzen 9 7950X3D processor and an NVIDIA RTX 5090 video card. When playing in 4K resolution with ultra settings, he received an average of 42 FPS. After reducing the settings to "epic," he managed to achieve 60 FPS.
He noted that this project is more demanding than other works by Greg Coulthard — similar remasters of Fallout: New Vegas and TES III: Morrowind.
The developer distributes his project through a Discord*-channel.
