CD Projekt Group has announced the launch of GOG Patrons — a paid subscription for $5 a month that helps fund the program to preserve classic PC games.
GOG Patrons is not a lifeline, but a way to move forward and faster. Preserving games takes time, resources, and people. We have always found ways, but with your support, we can do more.
The subscription is not a content service — users pay exclusively to support the initiative, similar to Patreon, and can cancel it at any time. In return, subscribers get access to a private Discord with exclusive videos, display of their nickname on GOG Preservation Program pages, and a special badge in their profile.
The GOG program aims to preserve old games: acquiring licenses, fixing compatibility with modern systems, and restoring lost features for the most accurate original experience.
