Microsoft will present the full list of January novelties later, but it has already been confirmed that at least two projects will be released on Xbox Game Pass in early 2026.
The first game is MIO: Memories in Orbit. It will appear on Xbox Game Pass on January 20. The Metroidvania is being developed by Douze Dixièmes studio and published by Focus Entertainment.
Players will find themselves aboard the forgotten space ark The Vessel, where the AI has stopped working. Controlling a robot named MIO, you have to explore corridors and destroyed systems, fight out-of-control machines and restore lost memories to prevent the ship from shutting down completely.
The second game will be released on January 22 on PC and PC Game Pass. Nova Roma is a strategy game with an emphasis on city building. Players will lead a group of citizens leaving the declining Roman Empire to found a new settlement in unexplored lands.
In the process of development, you will need to enlist the support of the gods, introduce laws, build supply chains and monitor the needs of residents, gradually turning a small colony into a full-fledged city.
