Ubisoft Acquires Amazon Games Montreal Team and Welcomes Back Rainbow Six Siege Creator

Ubisoft has acquired the team working on the MOBA March of Giants at Amazon Games Montreal. As part of the deal, Xavier Marquis, the original creative director of Rainbow Six Siege, returns to Ubisoft six years after leaving the company.
The terms of the deal were not disclosed. Ubisoft will acquire the rights to March of Giants, which began closed alpha testing on PC this year. The entire development team will move to Ubisoft, and Amazon will provide marketing support for the project on Twitch.
March of Giants has a real chance to offer players something fresh and dynamic, and to help Ubisoft compete in one of the largest gaming spheres.
Amazon recently announced significant cuts in its gaming division, including the termination of MMO development. The company emphasized:
