Microsoft and Turn 10 have announced that Forza Motorsport will no longer receive major new content updates.
In 2026, the game will be supported in its current form: special events, the monthly return of Featured Tours and prize cars are planned, and the servers will remain active for multiplayer.
New cars, tracks, and features are not planned. The developers have explicitly stated that the studio's resources are being redirected to the development of Forza Horizon 6, which is scheduled for release in 2026.
Earlier reports of layoffs at Turn 10 and Phil Spencer's comments about "re-evaluating the scope" of the studio confirmed this move. There is still hope that the Forza Motorsport series will return in the future, but for now, it is going on a long hiatus, and all attention from Microsoft and Turn 10 is focused on Forza Horizon 6.
