From the moment Light of Motiram was announced, players had no doubts — the game was quickly dubbed a "copy of Horizon" online. The landscapes, futuristic technologies, and mechanical beasts resembled the Guerrilla Games series, so Sony's interest was expected. Now the situation has developed.
According to court documents, Sony and Tencent have entered into a confidential agreement, and the case has been officially closed without the possibility of reconsideration.
In parallel, Light of Motiram has disappeared from Steam and Epic Games Store. Until recently, the game's pages led to cards in both services, but now the project has been removed from digital distribution.
As a reminder, in July, Sony sued Tencent, accusing the company of creating a "copy of Horizon." The lawsuit pointed to the similarity of the world and visual style, as well as the use of a character similar to Aloy in marketing. According to Sony, this violated copyright and trademarks and misled players.
The details of the agreement are not disclosed, but the outcome is clear: the game will not be released in its current form. Sony and Tencent have not issued official comments.
