Recently, the Revolution Team presented their new project. The modders, who previously created the updated GTA: Vice City on the Rage engine from GTA IV, will now offer to go to Los Santos and use Grand Theft Auto V as a base.
GTA San Andreas Nextgen Edition on the GTA V engine was announced and the first teaser trailer was published:
The story with VCNE has come to a logical conclusion for us. The current version 1.2 is fully playable, hundreds of playthroughs on YouTube confirm this. The modification has gone to the people, continues to live its own life, receives fixes and updates from enthusiasts, which we are sincerely happy about. Well, we, in turn, are not standing still and our team has switched to a new, even more ambitious project. This time we will be more careful in sharing details, but we continue to move forward and are preparing something really worthwhile for you. Fasten your seatbelts, we're taking off!
The publisher tried to ban the previous project of the modders, GTA Vice City Nextgen Edition, but in the end the release took place and they were subsequently able to release patches for it, and other modders joined the refinement.
Work on GTA San Andreas Nextgen Edition is "in progress", there is no release date yet.
