TES fans have started a new round of brainstorming.
Recently, the author of the YouTube channel Any Austin returned with a new gaming investigation. He decided to revisit the world of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and find out how many trees are featured in it.
After studying the world of the Bethesda game and its files, he concluded that there are a total of 46,430 trees.
Any Austin asked Todd Howard a similar question — he tried to guess the number of trees at random and missed badly with "111,111."
The answer to another question attracted particular attention from The Elder Scrolls community:
- Question: Will there be more trees in The Elder Scrolls VI than in Skyrim, or vice versa — fewer?
- Todd Howard's Answer: More. Definitely more.
Now players are starting to build theories about the potential setting of TES VI. Although there are many locations where forests are present, currently one of the main "candidate locations" is Valenwood — it is described as a "forest kingdom:"
The collection of lands in southwestern Tamriel, predominantly inhabited by Bosmer and being the stronghold of their statehood [...] In the rest of Tamriel, this region is known as the forest kingdom, in the shadow of which exist bizarre Bosmer cities, some of which are capable of moving. For many, this is a wild and cruel land, in which there is a barbaric culture of forest elves who revere the forest. Nevertheless, these lands are home to many other races, who are either newcomers or have lived here since time immemorial.
