The Afeela 1 electric car will support PlayStation Remote Play via the Afeela In-Vehicle Infotainment system. Users will be able to play PS4 and PS5 games by connecting to their home console directly from the car.
Sony Honda Mobility stated:
With PS Remote Play, users can remotely control their PS4 or PS5 through the car's interface. This allows for an interesting way to pass the time while waiting in the car or entertaining passengers on a trip.
President and COO of Sony Honda Mobility, Izumi Kawanishi, added:
The introduction of PS Remote Play reflects Afeela's vision: making the journey more exciting and emotional. We are taking the level of in-journey entertainment to a new level.
Only Remote Play is supported, not cloud streaming via PlayStation Plus. To transmit the image to the car, the console must be turned on at home.
