Project lead Brandon Adler announced the plans in Microsoft's year-end studio address. According to him, the team intends to actively support the RPG after its release.
I’m excited to continue working on The Outer Worlds 2 with the team. We have a couple of DLCs in development, and we’re also discussing what ongoing improvements we want to release for players over the next year. We have a ton of ideas, from new features to improvements that players are asking us for. This is an important stage for us, and we’ll share more details as we get further along in planning.
Obsidian previously announced two story expansions before the game's release in October. Players who gained early access through the premium edition will receive both DLCs after they are completed and finalized. Release dates for the expansions have not yet been revealed.
In addition to the DLC, the developers promise new features and improvements.
