Bandai Namco bought the rights to the first two installments of the Patapon series from Sony in order to update them and restore the popularity of the franchise.
Patapon 1+2 Replay was released a few months ago, but the recent 1.09 update added free content. The new Boss Rush Challenge mode tests players' skills and patience in battles against powerful bosses.
With each new wave, the number and strength of enemies increase. Progress can only be saved after completing a wave. The developers note that defeat in the mode does not affect the main campaign, and all the necessary information for the game is presented in the team's infographic.
The game is available on PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch platforms.
