The Polish studio first announced the development of Project M in July 2024, specifying that the project was being created specifically for Nintendo. In a new interview with Nintendo Insider, Bloober Team CEO Piotr Babieno stated that the first details about the game may appear "very soon."
When asked what to expect from Project M, Babieno replied:
You have no idea how difficult it is for me not to tell you what Project M really is — but it's still too early. We are confident that we will be able to share the first details very soon.
What I can say is that fans of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, Limbo and Eternal Darkness will immediately feel at home. At the same time, Project M offers a bold twist — one that has never been seen in horror before. This is a vision that could only have emerged on Nintendo hardware.
It was previously reported that Project M is being created with a budget that is "significantly smaller" than other Bloober Team projects, and is being developed "in collaboration with the best creators for Nintendo platforms."
