New Spyro in Development? Former Toys for Bob Employee Hints to Fans
Confirmation that a new game in the Spyro The Dragon series is being created may appear before the end of the year. The original trilogy has already received a remake that sold over 10 million copies, so a new installment seems expected.
Concept artist Donald Yatomi, who worked at Toys for Bob from August 2022 to March 2024, indicated in his portfolio that he participated in the development of a "new game with Spyro." He noted that before leaving Activision Blizzard, the studio was involved in more than just Call of Duty.
Blogger Canadian Guy Eh suggests that this refers to the appearance of the character in Crash Team Rumble, but if it were a separate game, it would definitely be included in the portfolio on LinkedIn.
Earlier, designer Toby Schadt, who worked at Toys for Bob for 26 years, reported that in December 2023 he completed work on Crash Team Rumble and started on an unknown project.
Even if the official announcement of the new Spyro takes place, for example, at the January Xbox Developer Direct, the release will have to wait.
