In 2025, PlayStation Plus added 163 games across its three subscription tiers — Essential, Extra, and Premium. Their total retail value is estimated at $5575, which is higher than last year's figures.

In terms of the number of added projects, PS Plus lagged behind Xbox Game Pass, but the subscription cost for Sony's service is significantly lower. Over the year, users received more than 160 games with a total value of about $5500.

The value of the PS Plus Premium tier is often underestimated due to the smaller number of additions. At the same time, Premium is almost half the price of Xbox Game Pass Ultimate.

Sony has three subscription tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. In 2025, a total of 163 games appeared across all tiers. The average retail price of one project was about $34, and the basic Essential tier provided the greatest benefit.

In 2024, PS Plus received more games, but in 2025, the overall value increased due to the increased share of PS5 projects, which cost more than the additions of previous years.

Key games in the Essential tier in 2025 include Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Dead Island 2, Lies of P, Alan Wake 2, and The Outlast Trials. Throughout the year, major projects appeared in the Extra and Premium catalogs, including God of War: Ragnarok, Hogwarts Legacy, Cyberpunk 2077, Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor. These games are regularly rotated. PS Plus still does not offer major releases on day one, as Game Pass does.
