It seems the third part of the Final Fantasy 7 remake may be released soon. Confirmation came in an interview.
Square Enix is keeping the details secret, including the official name of the game, but director Naoki Hamaguchi told French YouTuber Julien Chièze:
The core gameplay experience is almost complete, and we are now in the refinement and polishing stage.
Although the exact release date is unknown, this indicates the completion of the main stages of development. It is important to remember that graphics, cutscenes, and voice acting remain, so a demonstration of the game in the coming days is unlikely.
Fans believe that the release is possible in 2026, but considering that there was no official announcement even at The Game Awards, early 2027 is more likely — for the 30th anniversary of the original game, which would be a suitable time to complete the trilogy.
