Employees of the Crowd Games publishing house decided to please fans of game designer Vital Lacerda and illustrator Ian O'Toole. They announced that they will release a new European strategy board game, The Great Library, from Eagle-Gryphon Games in Russian.
"The Great Library" is designed for 1–4 players and the story centers around the Great Library of Alexandria, the famous repository of human knowledge of the ancient world, created in the 3rd century BC by the Egyptian king Ptolemy I.
Participants will become librarians responsible for the legacy of the legendary center of knowledge. Studying great works, delivering products, and translating manuscripts - the result of all these actions must be arranged on the shelves in the library to gain fame and attract outstanding scientists to work. They, in turn, will help optimize the moves of gamers and provide additional actions.
It is worth noting that the recent campaign of "The Great Library", which took place on the Kickstarter crowdfunding platform, raised more than 41 million rubles thanks to 4865 sponsors.
Pre-order for this board game is likely to open in April 2026. The publication of the edition from Crowd Games will be joint with the world edition.
