This refers to Wyll, whose arc in early access was much more interesting than later, when he was made one of the least memorable companions.
In the original version, Wyll had complex motives: his hatred of goblins and personal tragedy made the character multifaceted. In the final version, he was reworked, made more "positive" and "refined." User u/PleaseBeChillOnline emphasized:
Feedback is good for gameplay, but harmful to the story. Maintain the integrity of the story.
Fan opinions are divided: some believe Wyll's rework is justified for balance, others believe that the studio has excessively softened the character, making him bland.
