For example, this happened during a stream by streamer DrLupo. He was exploring a stash when a notification appeared that he needed to log back into Escape from Tarkov — the progress disappeared.
Battlestate Games boss Nikita Buyanov responded to reports of the problem:
Measures have already been taken. We are investigating.
Players have a theory that attackers may have exploited a vulnerability in the Escape from Tarkov database to attack some users.
