Recently, hackers were able to hack into the servers of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege X. Users received billions of premium and regular currency in their accounts, and strange blockages began to occur.
The developers soon shut down the servers to deal with what happened — as a result, fans were left without access to Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege X for a day. The investigation is ongoing.
The developers of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege X have issued a statement — they will not block those who used the suddenly received currency, but will roll back the transactions.
They also clarified that the distribution of ban messages was not carried out by them, i.e. the attackers were able to turn on the previously disabled notification system:
No one will be banned for spending the credits received. Transaction rollback is in progress. The ban indicator was disabled in the previous update. Any messages shown [about blockages] were not initiated by us. The official wave of R6 ShieldGuard bans did take place, but is not related to this incident. We are working hard to sort out the issues and get you back into the game.
